National UV Safety Month

July is UV Safety Month. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States. UV Safety Month aims to raise awareness about skin cancer and help people take action to prevent it. 
 
 
American Cancer Society Their "Be Safe in the Sun" page has information, quizzes, videos, and recommendations to avoid skin cancer during the year.
 
AmeriCare - The slogan for 2014 was "Slip! Slop! Slap! and Wrap!" Useful for 2016 as to how to avoid sunburn and skin cancer.
 
Center for Disease Control & Prevention - UV Radiation - The CDC provides access to resources regarding risks of UV radiation and recommendations for skin cancer prevention.
 
Environment Protection Agency - SunWise - Sun safety for kids and educators.
 
Healthfinder.gov - Link goes to the start of a 7-webpage guide "Take Steps to Prevent Skin Cancer".
