April 2024 - What's Happening @ LWLC: Nat'l Poetry Month

National Poetry Month 2023

April is National Poetry Month, a celebration organized  by the Academy of  American Poets. Per the Academy's website regarding National Poetry Month, the celebration is  to "remind the public that poets have an integral role to play in (American) culture and that poetry matters." While the celebration covers American and Canadian poetry, poetry has been part of many world cultures and part of the literature during many historical periods.
