Silver Sparrow

Inaugural Book Club!!

The Special Collections Book Club met on April 11, 2017.  Approximately 20 people consisting of faculty, staff and students gathered in the Special Collections area of the Levi Watkins Learning Center to discuss Tayari Jones’ latest novel, Silver Sparrow

To kick off the inaugural book club meetup, nearly 40 free copies were given away on a first come, first serve basis.  Attendees enjoyed refreshments and a few even won a free T-shirt after correctly answering the “trick” questions about the novel.  The discussion was lively, well-attended and hugely successful.

Thank you to all who attended and for more information, contact Jina DuVernay at jduvernay@alasu.edu.
