Locate and Request Items

Locate items - Items can be located using the library catalog.

Return items - Once you find the item you want, simply email your subject specialist with a list of the item(s). This list should include the title of the item, the author, and the call number for each item. Your contact information and CWID should also be included in the email.

Checkouts and Returns

Checkouts - Please allow at least 3 working days to retrieve the items. We will then set up a pickup area / pickup time. 

Book returns - Please place the books in the book drop by the doors for now. The book drop is located to the left of the LWLC's main doors (facing the Freedom Bell). 

Renewing Items

Book renewals  Faculty and students can renew previously checked-out items without coming to the Library:

a. Visit Library Homepage (
b. Click Library Catalog 
c. Click the "my account" button at the top of the page
d. Login using your ASU ID barcode and last name. Most barcodes are in the format as 20+ID+0 (I.e. If a CWID is 2001234567, the barcode would be 2020012345670)
e. Find the item that you want to renew
f. Click renew.
Please note that online renewal is only possible before the due date. Please contact the library at (334) 604-9093 if your items are overdue and you still need them. We will waive overdue fees as long as the items are received.
