National UV Safety Month

July is National UV Safety Month. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States. UV Safety Month aims to raise awareness about skin cancer and help people take action to prevent it. 

Healthfinder.gov and the American Academy of Ophthamology provide access to resources to help you spread the word and get involved in UV Safety Month. Access the Toolkit 

Center for Disease Control & Prevention - UV Radiation The CDC provides access to resources regarding risks of UV radiation and recommendations for skin cancer prevention. 

Environment Protection Agency - SunWise - Sun safety for kids and educators.

Skin Cancer Foundation - Provides access to Summer Safety Tips for Kids and information about skin cancer prevention and protection.
