Searching for Library Resources

How To Search WorldCat Discovery

for Books, Articles, and Other Materials

STEP 1

STEP 1: Visit www.lib.alasu.edu and enter a word, name, or phrase in the search box. Press Search.

STEP 3

STEP 3: When you find an article you'd like to read, click the title and an overview will appear on the right side of your screen. Note your choices in the top right corner: You have the option to cite your article, copy the link, or email it to yourself.

STEP 2

STEP 2: Use the options on the left side of the screen to refine (limit) your results. You will get fewer results but they will be more relevant to your research need. In this example, I have refined my results to show only peer reviewed articles available at ASU that were published during the last 5 years.

STEP 4

STEP 4: Once you click View Full Text, a new screen will appear with additional options. Not all databases look the same, but they usually give you the ability to Download, Save, Print, Email, and Cite your article.

If All Else Fails....

If all else fails, request the book or article through Interlibrary Loan.
