The National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African-American Culture at Alabama State University is hosting its annual Colvin-Feagin Art Show showcasing selected quilts from the Freedom Quilting Bee Legacy of the Gee's Bend area. The exhibition highlights the artistry and craftsmanship of the artists and explores the collective's historical quest for civil rights and economic uplift.
The exhibit and the opening events will be held in the Levi Watkins Learning Center.
