  1. Go to the LWLC's website (www.lib.alasu.edu) and search for Sonny's Blues in the search box.
  2. Under Format on the left side, select Books.
  3. Under Content Type, select Full Text.
  4. Sonny's Blues can be found in Short Stories for Students.
To find an article about "Sonny's Blues":
  1. Go to the LWLC's website (www.lib.alasu.edu) and click Databases.
  2. Click the letter L and then click Literature Resource Center.
  3. Type Sonny's Blues, select Name of Work, and press Search.
To find another book by James Baldwin:
  1. Go to the LWLC's website (www.lib.alasu.edu) and search for James Baldwin in the search box.
  2. Under Author, select Baldwin James.
  3. A book's location (call number or link) can be found on that book's page in WorldCat.
To find an article on a relevant topic:
  1. Themes in "Sonny's Blues" include community, addition, optimism, brotherhood, music, and others. Go to the LWLC's website (www.lib.alasu.edu) and click Databases.
